Blomberg Lake and Woods State Natural Area is a 966-acre DNR-designated preserve in Burnett County featuring a 68-acre shallow bog lake surrounded by northern wet forest of tamarack, red maple, and black spruce. The lake supports white and yellow water lilies and attracts migratory waterfowl, while the upland areas contain rare northern mesic hardwood forests of sugar maple, red oak, and basswood. This is an undeveloped natural area ideal for residents who value quiet solitude, birdwatching, and access to pristine northwoods scenery.
